During the COVID-19 pandemic period of 2020, which has become a big challenge for many, Los Angeles Tamil Sangam has organized the Food and support drive to help the needy people. We have raised enough funds to distribute 30 boxes to the Migrant Education Office where the people in need get the supply. In each box, we have included a blanket, a box of surgical masks, and a generous amount of rice, black beans, pinto beans, cooling oil, pasta, pasta sauce, spaghetti, and macaroni.

We have coordinated with Ms. Maria Perez from Migrant Education Office and delivered these boxes at their location (12350 226 street, Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716). These were later distributed to the people who needed help.

This community/charity work was initiated and completed by our 2020 Management Executive Committee (between 12/26/2020 and 01/4/2021). Big shoutout to everyone! Also, special thanks to our volunteers, particularly Vijay, Deva, and their kids, for help with shopping and packing the donation boxes.
